Located just of the Cambrian coast is a fantastic set of waterfalls at Dolgoch which is easily got to by either road or by use of the Talyllyn Railway and its a short walk from the narrow gauge station at Dolgoch Station. The water falls are very spectacular and fall a good height from the top to the bottom and then form a stream which runs under the viaduct which carries the Talyllyn Railway over into the station at Dolgoch in which this gives some good photographs of the narrow gauge train crossing the viaduct. I have visited Dolgoch Falls on three separate occasions and I must say that I have enjoyed all three visits and walked around the falls and took many pictures which can be seen to the left and the right of the page. I would recommend a visit to the water falls to everyone weather you use the train or travel by car it is a great day out and a fantastic walk. Please make sure you wear some good walking boots and take a drink and a packed lunch. The Canal that runs through Welshpool has been very popular with both Walkers and Tourists for many years now and since last year the canal path has been improved and the mood is no more as there is now a stone path which is a lot better and enables people to have a walk on a damp/wet day without getting shoes or boots covered in mood. I have recently walked the canal between the Flash Leisure centre and Buttington Industrial Estate and although the weather was cold and a bit damp the walk is very good and I would recommend it to everyone that enjoys walking.

The walk will take around 30 - 45 minutes and there is a bench at the Buttington industrial estate on the canal which enable a rest or even a picnic and there are 3 bridges over the canal on the way which have there numbers on them which are original. Part 2 of the Welshpool Canal coming soon!!!
